Please take some time to learn more about us and our product offerings.
Yesterday we posted that we are looking for beta testers to work with the new MVVM support features coming to our Docking/MDI for WPF product in the 2011.1 version. Beta testers will be able to access the new functionality before 2011.1 is officially released.
Going along with that theme, we’ve had several customers request official support for Prism (Composite WPF), a Microsoft guidance designed to help build rich and flexible WPF desktop applications. In the past, one of our guru customers had made an open-source set of classes to allow integration of Docking/MDI with Prism and he shared the work with the community via our forums.
Now that our native MVVM support features have been completed for Docking/MDI 2011.1, we’re considering creating an official Prism integration assembly that harnesses our new MVVM features, and placing it in our open source contrib project.
Today I’d like to ask how much interest there is out there in us implementing such an integration assembly. Please comment below if you’d like to see these features added. And if you’d like to beta test them when we do implement them, please follow the directions in yesterday’s call for beta testers post.
Thanks for your input, we want to make sure Docking/MDI continues to be the premier docking window product for WPF.

Yes, we would definitely be interested in Prism support as well. Unfortunately the timing is bad or I'd volunteer for the beta testing (we rigged our code which works well enough for now), but we would most likely replace our code with yours later this year if it's released in time.

We're using WAF/MEF, but not sure that an interop assembly would be called for in this case.

We would definitely love to get an official integration for Prism (4.0) with your docking solution. Currently we are using Prism 2 and the adapters from mike.
Our application is already prepared for Prism 4.
We would love to beta test the new features.

We are extremely interested in both MVVM support and PRISM integration. I think might influence potential customers to choose Actipro ahead of other vendors for use in enterprise applications.

Yes, please add official integration with Prism 4.0 for the docking solution. I feel strongly that this would elevate your controls from other vendors. I am currently evaluating the docking solution and integration with Prism 4.0 would be a no brainer as what vendor is chosen.

We're buying the Docking Manager and our application is built with MVVM and Prism, it would be great for us to have this kind of integration.

Would be great, we're using the one now on CodePlex, and this is holding us back from upgrading to Prism 4.0

The code we currently have uploaded in the source code tab of our own Codeplex project has a Prism 2.2 and a Prism 4.0 project. They aren't in the downloadable release yet since both of them require that you have WPF Studio 2011.1 (currently in closed beta). We hope to get 2011.1 published in the coming week and will add a new Codeplex download containing the Prism 2.2/4.0 support at that time.
