New WinForms SyntaxEditor and UIStudio maintenance releases

June 29, 2010 at 6:32 AM
by Bill Henning (Actipro)

We’ve just released new SyntaxEditor for WinForms and UIStudio for WinForms maintenance releases the other day.  The new SyntaxEditor build has numerous functionality updates, adds three new sample languages (C, C++, and RTF), and improves the .NET Language Add-on’s automated IntelliPrompt in Visual Basic.  Enjoy!

Does this release fix the issue where you cannot use the C#/VB parser service to provide intellisense for C#/VB snippets embedded inside an XML document that is using the XML parser service (e.g. the ASP.NET scenario)?

Sorry no, however that is something we are discussing as we move forward in designing an updated grammar/AST platform that will be first used in the WPF and Silverlight SyntaxEditor controls.  It is something we are attempting to add support for.

Hi,
Does this release fix the C# VS2010 MGrammar integration with the latest SQL Server Modeling CTP - Nov 2009 Release 3?

My above comment for SQL Modeling is related to SyntaxEditor for WPF, not the WinForms version.
