Sorry we haven’t been blogging much the past couple of weeks. We’ve been focusing all our efforts on polishing off Editors for WPF and SyntaxEditor for WPF (public beta), both of which will be part of the upcoming WPF Studio v5.0 release.

Just to get you excited, I’ve included a screenshot above showing the new product family tabs for Editors and SyntaxEditor.
As a reminder, we have continued to Twitter our progress so be sure to follow us for the latest details on WPF Studio v5.0’s release preparation.
Right now Editors for WPF is ready to go. SyntaxEditor for WPF still needs several more minor tweaks and documentation updates but it is close now too. We recently finished off the UI automation and designer functionality along with most of the documentation for SyntaxEditor.
As displayed in the screenshot above, both products are now integrated into the WPF Studio Sample Browser. C# and VB samples are available for both products. SyntaxEditor will initially ship with over 40 samples too!
We’re working on another small assembly that we hope to ship with v5.0. It makes it easy to integrate Editors for WPF with PropertyGrid for WPF. More details on this in future blog posts.
Another thing we’re trying to quickly hammer out before the release is a first cut at a Language Designer application to be used with SyntaxEditor. The initial version will likely be limited in functionality but the goal is that we want to make it easy for you to input some data about a language and have this application generate a bulk of the code that you need to implement a syntax language. We’ll post more about this in future blog entries and definitely will want to get some feedback on it once you get it in your hands so that we can improve it going forward.
